    You're kidding right? A Salsbury House restaurant and a bridge as the focus of a logo? Looks like it was drawn up in a grade 6 art class. FAIL!

    I prefer the 80's logo. But I think to have a shot at retaining the name at all, which seems slim, the logo would have to be redone so that the owners could create revenue from NEW merch.

    It would probably flip back to a classic look, in time...seeing as the new gear is so different from the mid-90's. Look at it as a bargaining tool to retain the name!

    -Too busy. A bridge, a jet, a skyline, a moon... needs to be simplified.
    -Do you really want Winnipeg to be recognized for a bridge with a Sals on it?
    -Winnipeg not known for it's buildings or cosmopolitan lifestyle, lose the skyline graphic.
    -The "Winnipeg Vets"? Redesign the "J" to look like one, not a "V"
    -Bridge logo looks like a rocket being held down by wire.

    I agree with anon 8:05

    The best logos, crests, etc. are simple. This one looks nice but is too busy to be a team logo. The rule for logos is that they need to be able to scale down and up in size and maintain legibility. If it isn't immediately and clearly identifiable after scaling down, it needs to be simplified.

    This logo is awful! It's totally not a representation of what the Jets used to be or what Winnipeg has to offer! I personally like the classic logo's - the new logo should be close to the same!!!

    The best thing about Winnippippi having an NHL team is that we now get to see the likes of the Canucks, the Habs, not to mention the Leafs for those in the GTA.

    Yeah.. to be honest, there's not many memorable monuments in this city that would be flattering for a logo.. This is a nice one though. I will be thinking of food, not hockey though. Lmao.

    Are you guys crazy. the old 80's jets logo is one of the ugliest ever made. This new one is sharp. The 90's one is ok too. But please not that 80's garbage.

    Looks great, however I've always felt a logo should be simple enough that a young child can draw. I remember my binders in school always covered in different band names, they were simple to draw.

    Would anybody consider changing the logo of the Montréal Canadiens or Toronto Maple Leafs?

    Of course not! That would be a disaster!!

    Look at the logo disaster in Buffalo.

    So why would you change the logo of the Winnipeg Jets?

    The 1990-1991 to 1995-96 logo was the best!!!

    Unless it's something spectacular, it should not be changed. Especially to the disaster logo put forth as a suggestion above.

    New logo! This is horseshit, now all the cheap a**holes with their old Jets jerseys can keep them and not have to support the new team. New team, new logo! People wearing old Jets gear should be mocked! The problem with Winnipeg fans is they only want to back a Winner, if this team doesn't get in the playoffs in year 3 & 5 look out! I hope that the season ticket sales wasn't just people jumping on the bandwagon. Remember Atlanta had two teams and lost both of them. I remember the "Save the Jets" campaign, but I also remember going to games with less then 6,000 people in the building also.

    What are you talking about you hoser? Winnipeggers support the Bombers and they've been a losing franchise for how long? Winnipeg supported THE JETS by going the last time we had them. Just so you actually know your ass from your elbow the average attendance BEFORE the final season was above 13,000 people per game. Where do you get less than 6,000 in attendance? Go look at the attendance records. How many southern teams hover around that 6,000 in attendance NOW?

    I am one of those who feel the '80's jersey is horrible. nothing but a New York Ranger knock off. have a hard time with a CF-18 on the logo since we don't have any based here. maybe a retro looking jersey from the '70's?

    Keep the logo. Lose the circles around it. That way the logo will blend in with the jersey and stand out better instead of being trapped in the circles.

    Besides losing the circles they could lose the name Winnipeg because you know that already. By the way when I first looked at the logo the plane looked like it was flying behind the building and not into it but anyway if you took the building out then it would also look good.

    The colours are too New York Rangery! Very nice design though. If the Rangers did not have those colours, I would definitely buy into it!
