Ivan Telegin signed an entry level contract with The Winnipeg Jets on July 26, 2011.
On September 23, 2011, the Winnipeg Jets sent Telegin back to his junior team, the Barrie Colts, according to the Winnipeg Free Press. There were some hopes that Telegin could be a decent offensive weapon to come off of the bench for the Jets this season, but evidently True North feels that he is not quite ready.
